The Strain Season 3 is ready to scare its fans, this year
With no surprise, The Strain season 3 has been renewed by the FX channel. The Strain is one of the highest rated TV series of FX channel.
This TV series has renewed by the channel, even though ratings of the 2nd season had shown 30% decline in its viewership. The Strain Season 2 garnered 1.4 million average viewers, whereas the first season had garnered 2 million average viewers.
Release Date of The Strain Season 3
This TV series had won 1 award, with 12 nominations. The Strain had been started its horror sequence from 13th July 2014 and the next season was released on 12th July 2015. But this time, FX has sifted The Strain Season 3 in fall 2016. As per the FX, the first episode of The Strain Season 3 will be premiered on 28 August 2016. The channel has also confirmed that this season will have 10 episodes.
Storyline of The Strain
This TV series is a story of a DCC Team (Disease Control Canary Team) of New York City, which was controlled by its head, Dr. Ephraim Goodweather.
This team took its new assignment to investigate and find cure of a secrete viral wrathful, due to which people are converting into vampires. When the strain was speeding, then Dr. Ephraim, his DCC team and New Yorkers, try to save humility from this strain.
As we see many unexpected deaths in season 2 finale, hence The Strain Season 3 will have huge uncertainty, and it will be more dark and fatal.

This TV series is based on the famous novel, The Strain of Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan. Guillermo and Chuck also wrote the pilot episode of this TV series. Whereas, both of them have also joined this TV series as creators and executive producers.

He said in an interview with IBT that, “That is something I fought for and intentionally wanted because it just feels like we can really amp up the story velocity in the third season by making 10 episodes instead of 13. ‘The Strain’ is a five season show and there are three books in this trilogy. There is a clear beginning, middle, and end,”
he further added, “Analyzing the storytelling it felt like we could tell the rest of this story really well in just 30 episodes and I thank FX for being supportive of that. It is just going to really amp up the storytelling velocity and allow us to not have to stall around as we are motoring forward.”
