After the successful project of Destiny in 2014, It has been two years since Bungie have not come up with anything new related to it and the gamers of online-only first-person shooter game were on their toes when news of the release date for the second installment of the franchise, “Destiny 2 “arrived.

Destiny 2 Game Development
Right after the release of Destiny in september 2014, rumors were floating in the air regarding a sequel of the game series. On November 2014, fIrst official word on the Destiny 2 came when Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said “Work has also begun on future expansion packs as well as on our next full game release”.
Bungie confirmed that players’ characters and progression will carry over into future releases. Originally planned for a September 2016 release (based on the original documents), Bungie confirmed on February 11, 2016 that a full sequel will be released in 2017.

Things to expect from Destiny 2
Destiny 2 will feature new destinations
It is highly expected that it will be featuring new planet destination. According to several rumors, Destiny 2 will make each individual planet feel like a more complete destination. Right now the Patrol Maps are a bit Theme Parkish, with little attractions like Patrol Missions connecting the Mission and Strike roller coasters. Though you can’t actually ride the roller coasters without leaving and re-entering the park first, so maybe this isn’t the best metaphor.
Destiny 2 may feature new character
It is highly unlikely that it may feature some new characters in the sequel. Characters could be related to supporting basic roles or it could be related to any villainous role. Although there is no official word on it but it can be assume that it may feature some new characters
Destiny 2 coming to PC
After first version of the game, it sounds like PC players will finally get to start playing around with space magic in Destiny 2. If this is true, it will be interesting to see what Bungie tweaks to make the game more welcoming for the PC crowd. The number of PC holder for this game is slightly high and the gamers were expecting to have this game on PC since long time.
Destiny 2 expected plot
We are not so certain about the plot of Destiny 2 but we can assume things on the basis of the last version. There are several question still hanging in the year like “What is it going to be”? after all, Crota and Oryx are both dead, it is most likely that the plot will somehow is going to be related to past version where there is a battle between the good and the bad.
It is expected that it will feature some new character to bring more excitement in the game. but in another reports, Bungie is thinking about making “Destiny 2” a new game instead of making it an extension of the original title. If rumors prove to be true, fans will certainly have to forget the previous plot and characters as the company will definitely come up with new ones.
So the biggest question is still unanswered that whether it will feature next a sequel version or a new game?
Destiny 2 expected gameplay
Success and failure of Destiny 2 will be depend on its gameplay. it is very necessary for Bungie to make a player friendly gameplay. there is no official word on what kind of gameplay Destiny 2 willl feature but in my point of view, Destiny 2 will presumably expand upon the formula found in the original game with new weapons, abilities and mechanics. Bungie has a solid foundation to build upon, with fans consistently returning to its galaxy thanks to the satisfying combat and gunplay. It is also expected that we may witness some more variety in the gameplay of Destiny 2.
