This is all because of the statement of Channing Dungey, Entertainment President of ABC. He said in an interview that he has talked to Shonda Rhimes, creator of Scandal, and she said to him that,
“‘Look, I really feel like season seven is where I want to wrap up this story, because I always prefer to end a show where you’re feeling on top as opposed to letting things fizzle out.'”
This might be the indication for the end of Scandal TV Series after the Scandal Season 7. Even the performance of this TV series over small screen are falling season after season. The seventh season has garnered only 4.41 million average viewers, which is 14% less than the sixth season. Even the ratings of the seventh season has also been felt down 20%.
After the announcement of ABC to end Scandal TV series after the finale of Scandal Season 7. That means, 19 April 2018, was the date when the last episode of this TV series was released.

Still, the fans of this TV series are expecting Scandal Season 8. This is because, Scandal TV series still have caliber to throw profit for any network.
